Letterpress plates

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the letterpress plates that Stampin Up has for the big shot!

Here are two pictures of  things I have done with them.  First I found a nice 8X8 shadow box frame at a craft store and made the Halloween design.  Then once that one was done the light bulb went on and I realized I could just swap out paper in the frame for all the different holidays.  I know….DUH!  But it really wasn’t the original plan.  So then I made the next one for Christmas and LOVE it even more than the Halloween one.  I can’t wait to play with the design for Valentines day!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Some recent projects

Here is a card I made for a swap with my fellow “Dazzling Diamonds”, our stampin up demonstrator group.  We are having a Christmas party this afternoon and this is my swap.  When I get back I will show you some of the things I receive in the swap.  These ladies make such cute cards!

 

This card uses the  treat cup, Sweet Snowglobe Stamp, basic gray ink, very vanilla and old olive card stock, old olive 5/8 in grosgrain ribbon, Jolly Holiday DSP, and lots of dazzling diamonds glitter!

 

Ribbon Wreath Class Photos

This is the ribbon wreath we will be making in an upcoming class on Nov 6th.  First is just the wreath, then the wreath with a possible addition.  Its the large simply adorned charm.  I think I might add it to my wreath later, make a holiday insert or family photo….not sure yet but you could do whatever you want with it and it will be adorable!

Boy my craft table looks dirty!  LOL

Holiday Keepsake Recipe Holder

Some Catching Up To Do

So I have been gone from the blog again…..but with good reason.  We have moved, had another car accident and are finally planning our wedding.  I will post a copule of pictures now and a few more in a while of some stuff we have been up to.  First of all the new house this is the unorganized not at all unpacked craft room.

Then there was the beautiful rainbow after rain somewhere.  Cloudy in our back yard but no rain at our house. We enjoyed the rainbow just the same.  And after the rainbow is a picture of what the sky looked like in the front of the house

So we are pretty much settled into the new place, the car has been fixed and we are starting to come up for air before all the holiday and wedding planning go into full swing.

two new cards

I made two new cards today, one is a thank you card with the Elements of Style stamp set and the other is a fun card I made for a swap its made with the Tropical Party stamp set.  The tropical card is a copy of one I saw in this months Stampin Success with a few changes.

A work in progress

Since I have been sitting at home this week after unexpected surgery I have found some time to sew again.  I need to get some fabric for stips in between these blocks and for borders but at least the blocks are done.  Unfortunately I don’t think this will be done before I go back to work next week but check back in a few weeks and hopefully there will be more pictures on the progress of this quilt.  :-)

Oh and one more note  I am using fabric by Sweetwater called Make Life…  from the first time I saw the previews I knew I had to have some!

National Scrapbooking Month Travel Album

Here are pictures of a 6X6 album that I made as an example for my Scrapbooking event next weekend.   Those of you who are registered for the event but chose to used the Island Oasis DSP you will used the same layouts but with your DSP and cardstock.  Is gonna look great no matter what you went with!

In this picture the bottom left is the title page to the album and bottom right is the end page.

Here are some other pages in random order.  You canfo course put them in an album in whatever order you want.  I noticed that I forgot to ink the edges of all the pages.  Its something that can be skipped but I like the look on the Kraft paper so I will go back and do that.  Also once the pictures get put into this I am sure there will be some new embelishments added.

Mothers Day Card

Here are a couple of mothers day cards I made.  Have been waiting to post these until I gave them out.  So here they are.  I used the new Stampin Up set, Awash with flowers.
